From the Room-Res archive. The original article below records what we shared at the time. Product details, team roles and industry references reflect that period. Any promotion described has ended; current guides and support are available in the agent hub.

The Room-Res Team headed off to Doltone House, in Sydney's Hyde Park last night, to celebrate an inspirational night of achievements by women, that is the Women in Travel Awards arranged by Travel Weekly.

We were there to support our very own Chantal Broad, who had been nominated in the Wholesaler category, and it was indeed a night to remember, with some truly amazing women winning in each category.

Unfortunately, Chantal didn't pick up the award this time, but it was a fantastic honour to be recognised for her incredible support work to our network of agents.

A couple of great takeaway of the evening was 1) that the Australian travel industry is really supporting the development of women with equal opportunities and also, 2) we can get through a lot of free wine when we set our mind to it.

As we recover from a fantastic night, where we all celebrated the successful women of the travel industry, we wanted to share these words from Chantal!

“I couldn’t be prouder or more honoured to be nominated in the Wholesale category at this 2019 Women in Travel Awards. A massive congratulations to all the other nominees and finalists, you are all winners!“

“We saw so many women who are excelling within the industry and creating so many great intiatives and ideas; they are leading their companies into new periods of growth, and it's fantastic for a young women like myself to see and be inspired by them.“

We'd also like to shout out to Travel Weekly, who do an awesome job each year raising the awareness for women within the travel industry.

We're looking forward to next year and hoping to be nominated again as we take our service levels even higher.
